Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data the FilmGrid app and website collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
1. Who we are
FilmGrid (“FilmGrid”, “we”, “us”) operates a marketplace that connects filmmakers with gear lenders, crew, locations, stores and buyers and sellers of equipment in India. For the purposes of Indian data protection law, FilmGrid is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. [Registered legal entity name and address].

- Listings: gear, location and marketplace listings, including photos, descriptions, prices and pickup areas.
- Verification (KYC) for lenders, stores and sellers: government ID details (for example PAN, or Aadhaar with all but the last four digits masked), a selfie for liveness checks, and bank or UPI details for payouts.

We do not collect card numbers, UPI PINs or net-banking passwords. Payments are entered directly with our payment processor.
